HopAround.net is a P2P (Person-to-Person) web portal where the tourism services provider can meet and offer their services to the Tourist planning a trip to the Philippines. The portal allows the registered community-based Micro Tourism Service Providers or MTSP’s, on one hand, to post their service offerings around tourism sites in their communities.  On the other hand, the Tourist, while planning his trip, visits and searches the portal, views these service offerings and selects those that are compatible with his travel plans.

Through HopAround.net’s chat and quote me feature, the Tourist and MTSP can interact directly with each other, enabling both parties to negotiate and close or finalize an arrangement. The transaction is then consummated through the settlement system of HopAround.net.

HopAround.net only provides the venue and conduit for the settlement for services rendered. The website has no other participation whatsoever in the actual transaction between the MTSP’s and the tourist. HopAround.net, therefore, has no control over the quality, safety or legality of the services posted, the truth or accuracy of the postings, the ability of MTSP’s to perform or deliver his posted service or the ability of inquiring tourist to pay for the service. HopAround.net cannot guarantee that an MTSP or the tourist will actually complete a transaction.

Due to the foregoing, in the event that an MTSP has a dispute with a tourist and vice versa, HopAround.net (and its officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries and employees) are deemed released from claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with such transaction.
